One day out shopping and I found a lamp shade in the clearance area of Anthro to cover the naked bulb in my cloffice. For $3.95, I’m positive there isn’t a better solution. I’m dreaming of a fabulous light in that space, but for now I’m happy! I should also mention I’m looking at built in cabinetry to create a permanet desk solution that could make the space feel more complete and put together. IKEA here we come…
And a trip down the aisles in Target found me an unsuspecting rug that matches our wall color and fabric behind the cabinets in our kitchen perfectly. $19.99 couldn’t be passed up since it was the only one I saw.
A few little items for the kitchen window add to the white collection of our dishes and servingware, so I thought it fit right in to have a couple of candles and a bud vase from Pottery Barn (candles under $5 each, and bud vase $3). I also liek the cleaner, fresher look for spring/summer.
And $7.95 gave me a towel knob from Anthro (also seen holding our keys next to our fornt door).
A stop into a thrift store that always entices me with what they put out on the sidewalk found me a $20 table. The table is a temporary solution for our pile of mess under the TV and can then become a bedside table or a luggage rack (the table top is removeable and not shown here). I like the legs because it’s sort of bamboo-ish looking… Not that you can tell in this terrible photo – sorry.
At the same thrift store, I found this $4 piece of pottery made in the ’70s… I thought it was a fun piece for the coffee table.
I say it everytime, but it’s really coming together
